News and MediaSENEGAL AIRLINES TAKES OFF: Dubai-based tasc aviation assists in the formation of private-sector controlled Senegal Airlines DUBAI, February 5 2011 – The new national carrier of Senegal – Senegal Airlines, has received its first two leased Airbus A320 aircraft (6V-AIH and 6V-AII) on January the 19th, allowing it to commence scheduled operations on January the 25th with an inaugural flight from Dakar to Conakry. The new carrier replaces the liquidated Air Senegal International and is a division of the holding company, GAS - Groupe Air Senegal. The airline is currently focusing on gaining the Western African market share, by linking the capital Dakar with Bamako, Banjul, Bissau, Conakry, Niamey, Nouakchott and Ouagadougou. More destinations will be launched across the region shortly.
